There are times when the desire is well intended, it is unfortunate when the results are mean spirited. Such is the case with the letter that is being sent to the members of the church. The Apostle Paul advises the church to “Let all things be done decently and in order: (1 Cor. 14:40). When there are differences of opinion, the Bible is quite clear on how to affect a resolution. “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: (Isaiah 1:18a). Even now this Pastor and the members of the Deacon Board say to those who feel the need, “come let us reason together”. My purpose here is to speak to those members who have been negatively affected by the contents of the letter. Hear what the Lord Jesus has to say to us: ‘Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” (John 14:1) Your faith in God and trust in the Lord Jesus has made you overcomers. What do you see and what do you hear? “And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.” (1 Thess. 5:12-13)
A big “God bless you” to those persons who put together a wonderful Church Anniversary program. What a awesome anniversary Friendship. Thank you for all you do in the service of the Master.
Be blessed as you continue in Him.

On Saturday September 18, 2021 the FMBC Annual Barbara Dillard Senior Luncheon will be held in the Denver Miller Fellowship Hall. Seniors, this is a time for fine food, and fellowship. As a senior, I am reminded of something Eliphaz said to Job. Yes, I know that God rebuked Eliphaz for being wrong in his advice to Job (Job 42:7), not all he said was in error. Eliphaz said when a person pleases God “Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in his season” (Job 5:26). Seniors, I will see you at the luncheon!
