“Wilt thou not revive us again: That thy people may rejoice in thee?” (Psalm 85:6) The answer to the rhetorical question posed to God by the Psalmist is found in His loving character and in His sovereignty. In Revival and Soul-Saving Campaign 2014, we experienced the manifestation of the move of God in an awesome way. How mighty was the Man of God in the preaching of the Gospel. The Gospel is a holy-making Gospel and the Lord Jesus is a holy Saviour. We were challenged to live out 1st Peter 1:15, 16: “But as He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy”. To be holy is to be set apart – set apart from sin and impurity, and set apart to God.
The message through-out the week was God is absolute holiness, and the personification of complete moral perfection, whose eyes are too pure to look on evil with favor. That message should move His people (that’s us folks) to strive for moral purity.
The Evangelist exhorted us to live with wholesome reverence and respect for God, which is the basis for all godly living. Hear the wise man: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: But fools despise wisdom and instruction”. The Evangelist imparted to us the knowledge of God’s plan and purpose in and through the redemptive work of His beloved son. Please hear this dear people, a truth from the revival. We do not live a holy life to be justified, but we are justified in order that we might live a holy life.
The blotting out of our dark past is the beginning of a holy life. We praise God for a spirit-filled Revival and the blessings of it’s aftermath. We thank God for the Evangelist, Elder Earl Whitaker, the choirs, for awesome song service, the ushers and sound room personnel for their great work and the food preparers for excellent food each night of the revival.
To God be the glory. Let the revival continue.

“Simon, Satan has asked to have you, to sift you like wheat.”
Lk 22:31 TLB
Out of all Christ’s disciples, Peter was the one who believed that failure couldn’t happen to him. But it did, and in a big way. Jesus told him, “Satan has asked to have you, to sift you like wheat, but I have pleaded in prayer for you that your faith should not completely fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen and build up the faith of your brothers” (vv. 31-32 TLB). Notice three important truths: (1) We are all capable of falling. Don’t believe the lie that says, “If you were really a Christian, you wouldn’t have failed like that.” When God saves you, your spirit is immediately changed. But until your emotions, appetites, and desires come under the control of Christ you’ll always struggle in certain areas. This has nothing to do with your salvation, and everything to do with becoming spiritually mature. (2) We must be willing to repent. The trouble with temptation is that it usually starts out as pleasure. You think you can handle it, and when you become ensnared you try to overcome it in your own strength. But it doesn’t work. The Bible says, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble” (Jas 4:6 NKJV). God’s grace isn’t for the arrogant. It’s only given to humble, repentant hearts. (3) Once we are free, we stay free by helping others. God takes us out of a bad situation to place us in a good one; otherwise we’ll seek out our old connections. So the way to keep what we have is, give it to others.
At the time of this writing, (after day three), we have had an awesome Revival and Soul Saving Campaign. What a move of God we have experienced. The Lord has used Elder Whitaker in an indescribable way. Praise God for the anointing of the Holy Spirit. He created an atmosphere of sheer joy and adoration. To God be the glory for all He has done. More on the Revival next week.
Let me pose a question to you. What is your response to the Word when it is preached like it has been during the Revival? Are you: (1) like the people of Berea, who received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures day after day to ensure they were hearing the truth? It is this Pastor’s prayer that, that is where you are dear members.
However, there are: (2) people like the Jews of Thessalonica who believed not, and moved with envy because of the large number of people (including some Jews, many God-fearing Gentiles, and many prominent women) who responded to Paul’s preaching. How sad! Salvation so near, yet so far away. A Godly life available, however, one must choose to receive it. “And this is His commandment, that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment” (1 John 3:23).
Please hear this dear ones, FAITH COMES BY HEARING, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).
Dear Lord, thank you for the efficacy, and the veracity of your word. Let the revival continue.
