We praise and thank the divine Creator of the universe for the wonderful life and legacy of Sister Mae Ola McKinley Dogan. Sister Dogan represented the finest in Christian womanhood and was the living and breathing embodiment of the Proverbs thirty-one woman. A Godly woman of immense class, style, and grace. The lives of the members of Friendship family have been marvelously enriched by the presence of Sister Dogan in our midst for many years. Devoted member of the Deaconess Board, member of Pastor’s Aid, announcing clerk extraordinaire, member of Share-Pot team and Sister Dogan was instrumental in Friendship Baptist Church having an Annual Banquet. How this Pastor sees the legacy of Sister Dogan is graphically presented in Revelations 14:13: “And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth. Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors, and their works do follow them.” Praise God for the Blessedness of the holy dead! Where the corruptible must put on incorruption and the mortal put on immortality and the weary shall be at rest. “And their works do follow them!”
Dear Ones, Sister Dogan set the bar high in her work ethic. She was an extraordinary worker, who indeed loved the Lord and worked for Him. We would all do well to emulate the life of this dear lady, that we may also hear the Master of the universe say unto us: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Wife, mother, devoted Christian.
Thank God for the blessed life and legacy of Sister Mae Ola McKinley Dogan.
