Greetings, Friendship Family!

We are approaching our Summer Revival, and there is no greater joy than witnessing souls being saved! This revival is more than just an event, it’s a soul-saving campaign. We are believing God for hearts and minds to be changed, and for His Word to go forth in a strong, mighty, and powerful way.

The largest revival recorded in the Bible is found in Jonah 4:11, where 120,000 people repented and turned to God. What an awesome move of God that was! Now Friendship, we may not reach 120,000 souls in one day, but we can reach one soul at a time. We can all do our part by inviting someone to this powerful, life-changing revival. Invite a family member, a friend, a coworker, or a neighbor—let’s fill God’s house with those who need His love and salvation.

Mark your calendars: July 9th–11^th at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. It’s a soul-saving campaign where lives will be changed, and hearts will be revived! Stay excited and catch on fire for our Revival. Remember, people are drawn to the excitement they see in us, so let your light shine! Stay encouraged in the Christ we serve. And when life presents its problems (and we know it will), always remember you can T.IT.J. in prayer.  Humble to be a servant.

PRAYER FOR FRIENDSHIP PASTORIAL SEARCH

Heavenly Father,
We come before YOU seeking your divine guidance and wisdom as we search for a new pastor to lead Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Grant to us discernment to recognize the candidate whom YOU have chosen to shepherd and guide us.

Help us find a pastor who is filled with the Holy Spirit dedicated to Your Word and committed to nurturing Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Lord, grant us unity as we seek YOUR will together, putting aside personal preferences and agendas.

May YOUR grace shine upon our search process, leading us to the individual YOU have prepared for this sacred calling. We trust in YOUR perfect timing and surrender our desires into YOUR loving hands.
In Jesus name, we pray.
Amen.

Today we will celebrate Deacons’ and Trustees’ Affirmation Day, thanking the Lord for affirming our Deacons and Trustees here at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Today is the day to let it be known that we appreciate you for your great dedication to the service of the Lord and how you tirelessly keep the work of the Lord going, (as He would have it.) As Interim Pastor I would like to admonish you on your day.
I ask that you keep that same Holy Ghost Spirit, which you have shown in your faithfulness and your dedication to God and to God’s people, as Deacon Stephen did in Act 6. Continue the good work for the Master on this day that has been set aside to honor you as God’s servants.
The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make His face shine upon thee, and to be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. (Numbers 6:14-16) …In the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Ghost. Matthew (28:19)

The wise man Solomon says to us: “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven” Eccles. 3:1 That’s the way our lives are. We too have seasons of joy, we have seasons of pain, we laugh, we cry, we are happy, we are sad. Sadly to say we hate when we should love and that is where I want to stop and admonish us to do. In this season and time, we are to love one another as God, through Christ Jesus has loved us. Remember, “For God so loved the world, that he gave (us) his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 In this joyous season and time let’s choose love as followers of Christ! Friendship you are greatly loved by Pastor Adrian Lara.
Always remember when life presents its problems, and you know that it will, you can always T.I.T.J. in prayer! Don’t forget to share the gift of Christ this season!
