Parking Lot Construction Begins!
[singlepic=1321,250]
From the desk of Pastor Jones comes his weekly column, appropriately called, From the Pastor’s Desk
At the risk of riding the range of redundancy, let me say, the parking lot is coming! We have discussed, we have strategized, we have developed plans, and now actual construction has begun. To God be the Glory! How faithful is our God and the veracity of His word.
“Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass” (Psalm 37:4, 5).
The Lord has seen our need and He has ordained, and He has orchestrated that this desire will come to pass. And now dear members, let me ask you to partner with the Lord as He brings the parking lot effort to completion. Th operative word for Partnering with the Lord is COMMITMENT. Here on earth, God’s work must truly be our own. If you have committed to the parking lot effort with your pledge and/or building fund contributions, thank you. If you have not as yet committed to a special effort, may I encourage you to do so. There is something exciting about partnering with the Lord and watching Him work. There is never any failure in Him. We can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth us. Let us continue.

Way to go Marchita!
Marchita Johnson one of the children of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church is doing well in college. She has received the Edwin L. Glick scholarship from the Department of radio, television, and film from the University of North Texas.
We want to thank the Lord for His continued blessings over her life. Marchita is a greeter here at the church when she is in town. Her fun loving spirit and beautiful smile are not the only things that helped her to achieve as a student and staff member of the university. Her dedication, academic ability, and faith in God has led her to her current position in life. We all congratulate you and applaud you for the efforts and advancements you have made in college.
Enjoy this time in your life and remember the path you are making is for the other children of Friendship to be able to see anything is possible for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. Her parents and brother are very proud of her and so are we. WAY TO GO MARCHITA!!!!!
