A big “God bless you” and our sincere appreciation goes out to Sister Janet Spurlock for her service as a trustee with the Alief Independent School District. Public service is a noble calling, and we thank the Lord that there are caring people like Sister Spurlock that will answer that call. The Bible says in Proverbs 29:2 “When the righteous are in authority and become great, the people rejoice; But when the wicked man rules, the people groan and sigh.” (AMP) When we have Godly people in positions of authority, the Lord will bless their efforts. Again, hear the word of the Lord: “Righteousness exalted a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.” (Proverbs 14:34) In this age of “Let someone else do it.”, it is refreshing that out of Friendship we have a school board trustee. It is this pastor’s desire that Sister Spurlock’s actions will prompt others to consider public service.
Just an observation, busy people can find the time to do more. Thank you, Sister Spurlock, for all you do for the church and His Kingdom and for the community.
The Lord bless you as you continue in Him.
