In Revelation 3, Jesus refers to the Church of Philadelphia as a church with an “open door”. The Apostle Paul in Philippians 4, refers to the church at Philippi as the “generous caring church.” Both beloved of God. Add to those two, Friendship Baptist Church, “the church of demonstrative love.” Last Sunday, you dear members, demonstrated such a love and caring for your Pastor that is certainly Biblical. This Pastor is indeed grateful for your love, your caring, and your generosity. This church is indeed a blessing to your Pastor. Please know that Sister Jones and I are very appreciative of all you do to bless us, and we thank you so very much.
And then, and then on Monday, you exemplified your love for God and our children in such a marvelous way. “Son’s Night” was a wonderful event that this Pastor will characterize as “spiritually professional.” A big “God bless you” goes out to Sister Rebecca Metters, Sister Karen Foster and all of the wonderful people who contributed to this great effort. The young people had a good time and our Heavenly Father’s name was glorified. Only Satan was the loser at this event. As in all things or events “to God be the glory.” Hear the word of God: “If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever Amen.” (1 Peter 4:11)
