On Saturday September 18, 2021 the FMBC Annual Barbara Dillard Senior Luncheon will be held in the Denver Miller Fellowship Hall. Seniors, this is a time for fine food, and fellowship. As a senior, I am reminded of something Eliphaz said to Job. Yes, I know that God rebuked Eliphaz for being wrong in his advice to Job (Job 42:7), not all he said was in error. Eliphaz said when a person pleases God “Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in his season” (Job 5:26). Seniors, I will see you at the luncheon!
On Sunday, September 19, 2021, we (the Friendship family) will celebrate church anniversary eighty-one. How faithful our Heavenly Father has been. He has allowed this Pastor to serve as your leader for forty-eight of the eighty-one years. To God be the glory! We have had a fulfilling journey and the best is yet to come. Dear ones, it’s the people. This church is, and has always been blessed with wonderful people. Sister Mae Ola McKinley Dogan would remind us to get our Anniversary Envelope and give one dollar for each year we celebrate, (Precious memories).
Hurricane Ida reared thru Louisiana on Sunday August 29, 2021, with a destructive force that caused extensive damage. Friendship will partner with McGee Chapel M.B.C. in receiving donations. You can bring water, paper goods, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items, and the list goes on. Bring your donations as soon as possible and be blessed in the process.
