A question that each of us must answer is the question that the LORD posed to Abraham in Genesis 18:14: “Is anything too hard for the LORD?” The obvious answer is, “Of course not!” This question reveals much about God. We must appropriate the answer into every aspect of our lives. Insert your specific needs into the question. Is this coronavirus too hard for the LORD? Is finding a cure too hard for Him? Are the subsequent financial issues resulting from the Corrective actions taken too hard for the LORD? Again Dear Ones, the obvious answer is, “Of course not!” Asking the question this way reminds you that God is personally involved in your life. Please consider the text. The angel tells Abraham in verse 10: “I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him:” Now having a son is not so much out of the ordinary. Women do it all the time, however, verse 11 gives us more information. “Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.” Physically unable to bear a son, and the thought of that scenario caused Sarah to laugh, and respond “Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?” “And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as He had spoken, for Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which GOD had spoken to him.” (Genesis 21:1,2) Is there anything too hard for the LORD? Answer: Of Course Not!
Be encouraged.
