Musings with the Pastor. Words are so inadequate to convey our thanks and appreciation for all that you dear people did and said during the Pastor’s Anniversary. There was such an out-pouring of love. The gifts, the encouraging words, the food and the fellowship, all necessary ingredients for a great event. What an awesome anniversary. And then there was the Praise and Worship. Truly it was “praise ye the Lord. Praise God in His sanctuary: praise Him in the firmament of His power. Praise Him for His mighty acts: praise Him according to His excellent greatness. Praise Him with the timbrel and dance: Praise Him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise Him upon the loud cymbals. (Psalms 150:1, 2, 4, 5)
One could easily discern the moving of the Holy Spirit in these anniversary services, both Friday and Sunday. It is not necessary to have been pastoring for forty-six years to know that much prayer and great determination and work went into making this a GREAT anniversary.
Dear members, thank you for your LOVE and your FOLLOWSHIP. This Pastor is not being proud when he says: “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. (1 Corinthians 11:1)
To the members of the program committee, the Choir, the Usher Board, the Mission, the Praise Dancers (both groups), the Sound Room, Food Service and to the Ministers of Friendship, a B I G “God Bless You.”
