How loving is the inclusiveness of our heavenly Father as He speaks to citizens of the Kingdom. “In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto Me.” (Matthew 25:40 [b])
Jesus tells us that the standard and object of our charity (love in action) should be “the least of these,” not the “greatest of these.” Our acts of kindness are done out of hearts of love for the Lord Jesus Christ and for His people, never hoping for a reciprocal favor.
The Lord Jesus is concerned about all of His creation. The “haves” and the “have-nots,” we are all precious in His sight. Hear what the infallible Word of God says to those who have ministered to the “least of these:” For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have showed toward His name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. (Hebrews 6:10)
Dear Ones, God has made us to be His instrumentality for blessing the “least of these” and for seventy-eight years Friendship has truly lived up to His tasking. Jesus tells us that admittance into the Kingdom of God is extended to “whosoever.” Hear what the Lord says: “Whosoever will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” (Mark 8:34 [b])
Thank God that the church is not for spiritual “fat-cats,” but rather the “whosoevers.” The benevolent actions of FMBC are all inclusive, from the “down-n-out” to the “up-n-over.” Whosoever will let them come. For seventy-eight years, Friendship has been the church with the open door. “I know thy works; behold, I have set before thee an open door and no man can shut it.” (Revelations 3:8)
Let us continue.
