Musings with the Pastor. This Pastor is very thankful, in keeping with the spirit of Thanksgiving, to God for three recent events and for the sheer joy they produced.
- Event number one was the Men’s Conference that was held on Saturday, November 10, 2018. The conference was indeed a spiritual enlightenment. The speakers were very good, the food was outstanding, and we were blessed for having been part of this great conference. How apropos are the words of the Psalmist in Psalm 133:1 “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”
- Event number two was the Pre-Thanksgiving pot-luck dinner that was served on last Sunday. This dear people, was a Holy Spirit inspired event and to God be the glory. It is absolutely amazing how the Living God, the sovereign ruler of the universe, will manifest Himself in the eating of a meal. We thank our Heavenly Father and all of the dear people who contributed to this blessed event.
- Event number three was our outing to New Hope Baptist Church in Stafford where we participated with them in an Annual Thanksgiving Worship Service. This service is a grand event and a particular blessing to this Pastor. The wonderful people of New Hope, like the wonderful people of Friendship, have a special place in the heart of this Pastor.
