At the time of this writing (Wednesday, day three of Vacation Bible School), we are having an excellent session. There is an absolute move of God in the VBS.
The theme of the VBS session is: “Follow the Leader! If we may quote from the student manual: “This VBS theme “Follow the Leader!” encourages humanity to follow Jesus as the way to a solid personal relationship with God. John points out Jesus as the “Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” to his disciples. He was essentially encouraging them and others to follow Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life.” (John 14:6)
Lesson one pointed out that John was a good leader because he led his followers to the Lord. John imperfectly lived out godliness. Jesus Christ is God and so defines what it means to live a godly life. For this reason, Jesus is a Good Leader. The message is clear, let’s follow the leader by living godly lives.
A big “God bless you” goes out to Sister Lynne Bryant and all of the wonderful people who made Vacation Bible School 2018 such a godly session.
To the teachers/facilitators, thank you for a job well done. To the musicians, thank you for great music, and the food preparers and the entire kitchen staff, thank you for great food and a smooth operation, to the cleaning staff, thank you for your services.
And last, but certainly not least, to all of the young people, thank you for your participation. Thank God He said: “So shall my Word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the things where to I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11)
