There is something good and wholesome about “45” again. The present occupant of the white house by his lack of dignity in the office has sullied the number “45” and made it the object of derision.
Well praise the Lord, the loving, caring, wonderful members of the Friendship Baptist Church have made “45” great again. How exciting to celebrate forty-five years in the service of the Master. This Pastor’s Anniversary was truly momentous. What an out-pouring of love! (Washington, D.C. could certainly use some of that).
This Pastor stood in awe as he and his family witnessed the out-pouring of your love, your caring and concern, and your unbridled generosity. There was not anything about the anniversary that was not a blessing. To God be the glory for all He has done. This Pastor will readily admit: “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us: Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us.” (Psalm 124:2, 3)
For forty-five years, God has been faithful. There has been no problem beyond His ability to solve; no circumstance has been too difficult for Him. He has always been there. Therefore, I can say to you: “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1)
I am not being proud, I know my human frailty, however, I am saying follow my close walk with God, spend time as I do, in God’s Word and in prayer; as Paul says, “be thou an example of (to) the believers.”
Dear Ones, thank you for a blessed forty-fifth anniversary. May the Lord continue to shower blessings on each and every one of you and thank you for making “45” great again.
