(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) [2 Cor. 5:7]
This passage of Scripture speaks to the believers position in life as it relates to every circumstance of life. It matters not how horrific, how unbelievable, how unfathomable, that circumstance might be, we know in whom we have believed. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” [2 Tim. 1:7]
Please know this dear ones, fear is a spirit, and it produces hopelessness, anxiety, and we know this does not come from the Lord. We know that faith is simply taking God at His Word. So, what does His Word say:
- Blessed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted [Matt. 5:4].
- Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God [Matt. 5:8].
- For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God; a house not made with hand, eternal in the heavens [2 Cor. 5:1].
- Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, for thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us [Romans 8:35-37]
Out of the mouth of four witnesses. (We walk by faith!)
