How loving is the inclusiveness of our heavenly Father as He speaks to citizens of the Kingdom. “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me” (Matthew 25:40 [b]).
Jesus tells us that the standard and object of our charity (love in action) should be “the least of these,” not the “greatest of these.” Our acts of kindness are done out of hearts of love for the Lord Jesus Christ and for his people, never hoping for a reciprocal favor. The Lord Jesus is concerned about all of His creation. The haves and the have-nots, we are all precious in His sight. Hear what the infallible word of God says to those who have ministered to the “least of these:” For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have showed toward His name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. (Hebrews 6:10)
Dear Ones, God has made us to be His instrumentality for blessing the “least of these” and you have truly lived to His tasking. YOU HAVE DONE IT UNTO HIM! Hallelujah!! Jesus tells us that admittance into the Kingdom of God is extended to “whosoever.” Hear what the Lord says: “Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose life for my sake and the gospel’s the same shall save it. (Mark 8:34b – 35)
Thank God that the church is not for spiritual “fat-cats”, but rather to the “whosoevers” and our benevolent actions are all inclusive, from the “down-n-out” to the “up-in-out.” Whosoever will, let them come. The invitation has been given. Let’s receive them, where there is a need, let’s address it. We understand that need plus opportunity equals responsibility.
Let us continue.
