“Now unto Him who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy” (Jude 24).
This portion of the benediction spoken by Jude, the half-brother of our Lord, speaks of the trust that members of Friendship Baptist Church has had in Him through-out these seventy-six years. How awesome it is to hear Him say: “Fear thou not, for I am with thee: Be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; Yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: They shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish” (Isaiah 41:10-11).
For seventy-six years, Friendship has been under divine mandate to go, make disciples; disciple the disciples, and know of a certainty that there is no failure in God. We know that in His will we are in His presence. In His presence is the fullness of joy. Dear Ones, we cannot, but He can, and will keep you without stumbling or slipping or falling. This church has been kept secure, strong and upright by the mighty hand of our God. To God be the glory. The trajectory of the Church is upward and onward, and truly, the best is yet to come. Be blessed as we continue in Him.
Happy Church Anniversary.
