On this afternoon we will celebrate Family and Friends Day. Our guest will be the Club Creek New Life Community Baptist Church, Reverend Ralph Crowder, Pastor.
Our special guest will be our “families and our friends.” It is this Pastor’s desire and prayer that we make this a really special day. We can accomplish this with a concerted effort by the entire Church family. When we examine the concept of “family and friends”, we determine the importance of this day.
The family is of Divine creation (Genesis 1:27). Moreover, members of the Body of Christ are members of the family of God. “We have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father” (Romans 8:15b). WOW! And then there are friends. Jesus said “Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you” (John 15:13, 14). I pray that you will join your Pastor in elevating this day to its proper significance. Will you follow-up with your family and friends and let’s have a large turn-out this afternoon. Also, will you pray for a continuing move of God?
To help in this endeavor, there will be special recognition given in three categories:
- The most senior person in attendance.
- The person that traveled the greatest distance to be in attendance.
- The member that has the greatest number of persons in attendance.
