We have been saddened by the loss of our dear brother, Lawrence Johnson. Husband, father, grandfather, and a member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Brother Johnson served many years as an Usher and also as a Deacon. We extend our condolences to Sister Magdalene, Sister Ursula Renee, and to the grandchildren, you are all in our prayers.
In death, we are reminded of II Corinthians 5:6,8: “Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight). We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord”. The situation of the Christian after death, where he is no longer living in his “earthly house”. The believer who has died is at home with his Lord, and that is preferable to our present life in the body. However, I must be balanced in my presentation. There is also the great white throne judgement, where the dead, small and great will stand before God, and the books will be opened. (Read Revelation 20:11-15).
Dear Ones, we must all prepare to meet our God.
