Robert Allen, Jr., beloved son of Reverend Robert and Patricia Allen, father of Barbara, grandfather and Christian gentleman has moved from labor to reward. An extraordinary voice has been silenced and how we will miss the voice and the man.
“Bobby” Allen was a tremendous blessing to the choir and to the church. When he sang, the mundane praise service moved to the sublime. “Bobby” understood the essence of Psalm 146:1-5: “Praise ye the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul. While I live will I praise the Lord: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; In that very day his thoughts perish. Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God”.
We praise God for the life and legacy of Robert Allen, Jr., for his courage and steadfastness, his overcoming spirit. We are grateful to God He allowed “Bobby” Allen to sojourn here with us. He touched and enriched our lives and we are so much the better because he did.
