Wow! These are exciting times at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. New Member classes have begun and they are providing a wealth of Biblical information. You are, of course, aware of the Kingdom progression: Information produces knowledge; and knowledge, understanding; and understanding, trust; and trust, faith. (Without faith it is impossible to please Him) (But I digress, exciting times at Friendship.) On Saturday, November 7, 2009, “Queen Esther Beneath the Lemon Tree”. FMBC Women’s Retreat. And on Saturday, November 21, 2009, Men’s Conference at Ashwood Palms Resort in Bay City. Two excellent opportunities for the “discipling of the disciples”. Dear members, I highly recommend your participation in your gender appropriate venue. “Blessed art thou, O Lord: Teach me thy statutes” (Psalm 119:12). I know that you will enjoy and be blessed in attending these events.
And lastly, on November 8, we will make our annual trek to Lufkin. It is always exciting to take a bus ride to the piney woods of deep east Texas. What a joy it is to fellowship with our brothers and sisters at the Church of the Living God-Culverhouse.
